Photoshop Basics Lab

  1. The standard resolution for images made for the web is 72 dpi/ppi.

  2. The Standard resolution for images made for print is 300 dpi/ppi.

  3. The 2 types of files you should save are photoshop files (PSD) and either a PNG or JPEG. The PSD file saves your layers in photoshop so you are able to go back and edit your work if needed. The other is for distributing or uploading and will print/upload better than PSD files.
